Today's world, which is becoming increasingly smaller and closer, sends a message that an individual only needs themselves and a computer to thrive. I have always believed and tried to conduct myself in a manner that individuals and their lives are important. They are our most important resource. We will always pursue, imperfectly at times, valuing people above profits. Do not mistake this for weakness. It takes real strength to pursue this value while engaging the world.
At Mercer, we believe the world is changing at such a frantic pace that, sometimes, it looks like we are spinning out of control. The glue that will hold us together in those times is composed of a dynamic team. A team, working hard, using today's technology, but with a vision for the future. We have been blessed for thirty years and look forward to many more years of developing people and projects, of viewing opportunities, sometimes initially disguised as adversity, and capitalizing on these opportunities to build for the future.
